Everything is possible!

Hello hello!

I know…Monday again! Most people don’t like Mondays. What if we see Monday differently though? What if we use it as an opportunity to do something outside our comfort zone, learn something new?! Today I decided to do exactly that!

Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo is a very nice blog that hosts very inspiring challenges. So naturally I wanted to join them, yet to do that for their current challenge I had to use a STRAW! …Now to me that was a challenge by itself!I haven’t used straws in my art before. And I don’t have any cool paper straws either. I don’t even have fancy flower embellishments to create a layout like most people would do..so I was kind of talking myself out of it. (I guess many of you know this feeling!) However, today I thought…’oh well…just try it!’.And I made this little tag!

I didn’t fall in love with it…but you know what? I’m glad I made it..coz I have learned many things in the process and because I feel nice that I didn’t give up on it. Nobody creates only masterpieces…we have to keep creating though…cause through our mistakes we learn and get better. And this is my message to you today: EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE if you just believe and keep trying ๐Ÿ™‚

Today I am not going to give you a list of supplies used as most of the parts are scraps and random items .However I would like to mention that the wonderful blue and green background colors are a mix of Lindy’s stamp gang and Dylusions sprays. The focal point background is made with Distress mini inks (cleaning my blending tools!). And the bird, flower and leaf are colored using Copic markers.

As always, here is a list of the challenges I entered. Feel free to visit these blogs. They are trully amazing!

Challenges:

  • Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo: January 2017 – Straw

Create your destiny!

Hello everyone!

Today I got inspired by a lovely thought posted on Scrap Africa blog. It was about love and kindness, respect and honesty, strength and forgiveness. But also about choosing to be happy and stretch our wings doing things outside our comfort zone! Now if this is not inspiring, what is?Right?

With this in mind I created the following layout. I have to admit this is all new to me. I don’t do layouts … to be honest I don’t take photos of people often (unbelievable as this may sound!) so I don’t really have the need for them. It was good fun though! Maybe I should create some more often..then I may get into the habit of taking pictures as well! (hahaha) Anyway, I hope you like it, if not don’t be too harse! (hahaha)

With my little project I decided to join a few challenges coz it is always nice to share with your crafty friends ๐Ÿ™‚ If you can spare the time I really recommend you pay these lovely blogs a visit. The ladies there are very talented and you will get tons of inspiration!

Hello my crafty friends!

Hope you all have a lovely day! Do you ever get distracted and end up making cards while you were supposed to tidy around? I do! hahaha…Oh well…I saw these fantastic challenges and I just really wanted to take part in!

One of them proved to be really challenging, as I don’t really have the exact colors or any similar ones…But I tried my best to be as close as possible. Hopefully it won’t be a problem ๐Ÿ™‚

And that’s what I have created! Hope you like it!

For this project, I blended my distress inks to create the peach-teal background and used distress paints to color the rest of the elements of the card. I diecut the star to create a gap that adds dimension to my card. Then I stamped the sentiment and the little details. I inked the edges of the smooches label and I adhered the card on a nice grey patterned paper. Sweet and simple! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hello!

Hello everyone!

The weekend is just a breath away! So …let’s make a coffee (or tea ) and start chilling out! ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s the small things that make life wonderful!

Enjoying a steaming coffee…I browsed through my favorite sites and had a look at some fantastic creations which inspired me to join a few challenges! Trying to combine the different themes I came up with the following tag! Coffee is always a good idea ๐Ÿ˜› I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!

For this project I cut an A4 cardstock to the size of an ATC card and covered it with Gesso. Then I covered it inย  Melted Chocolate Dylusions paint and black Gelatos. I added a stripe of washi tape and a thin stripe of cardstock that I painted black, to add so interest.I used a couple of stamps to leave random impressions on the background and inked the edges of the tag using Archival ink. I added some drops of Perfect Pearls to finish my background. Then I die cut the coffee elements and painted them using Gold Champagne Gelatos. To give them more depth I inked their edges with Vintage Photo. I die cut the sentiment out of a golden paper from an old chocolate box! And sticked everything down using Matte Medium.

Color Blue!

Hello hello!

How is everyone?I hope you are all having a fantastic day!

Today I was watching one of Kristina Werner’s videos on YouTube and I got fascinated!I instantly fell in love with the ombre effect she created for her card!So I had to try it!!!!

For this reason I created the following card! I love cute critters and I think these Paper Smooches Chubby Chums are adorable! Don’t you agree? ๐Ÿ™‚

To create this card I used my distress inks like Kristina shows in her video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10x755ClAMo), then I stamped the critters and colored them with inktense pencils. After that I sprayed the black cardstock with Lindy’s Hydrangea Blue spray and die cut the sentiment which I glued down using a glue pen. I also cut and glued a thin line of the sprayed paper to create more interest.Last I stamped the hearts and colored them using Lindy’s spray and a waterbrush.

With my little card I entered the following challenges. If you can spare the time I suggest you visit these blogs. You’ll be amazed by what these talented ladies have created!

Chill out!

Hello my crafty friends!

Today I’m off work…so I decided to have a chill out day!Have coffee and play with my art supplies ๐Ÿ™‚

For this projects I didn’t use many supplies though…because I mainly wanted to practise and get to know how to use my inktense pencils…and also because I wanted to let all these people out there that don’t craft because they lack art supplies that you don’t need loads to create a card.

To motivate myself further, I tried to create something that matches the theme of a few challenges ๐Ÿ™‚ So, here is a list of the challenges I entered. These blogs are highly inspiring so if you get a chance, I would suggest you stop by and have a look. You’ll be amazed!
