You lift me up!

Hello my crafty friends!

Hope you all had a nice weekend! I spent most of my free time organising my supplies (or at least trying to) and creating some projects! So I can’t complain really…it wasn’t too bad! πŸ™‚

Among my stamp sets I found this one that fit perfectly the theme of Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Then I decided that I had to use these particular colors to qualify for MFT Challenge…and I admit I struggled ALOT! To begin with…I like these colors…but not together! And I normally try to add some contrast to my projects…but in this one …with these images and these colors I just couldn’t figure out how to do it! But…oh well…I tried!

If I was to start again, I would probably use different colors for this particular scene…however I didn’t have the time and I would also like to encourage people to embrace their mistakes and not be too harse on themselves. Noone’s projects are perfect every single time. Some are bound to be better than others. But we should not get discouraged… it doesn’t matter… there is always NEXT TIME! πŸ™‚

Supplies:

  • Kraft Cardstock paper – white
  • Creations Design Pad – Pretty pastels (grey patterned paper)

It’s been a while since I created a journal page! So today, being inspired by the More than Words challenge, I decided to show some love to my art journal! The challenge theme of this month is “Together and ampersand”. Thinking about it…the word TOGETHER brought to mind a long walk that I had with my partner along the river…so I decided for this project to use a photo of our walk. And I used the ampersand in my sentiment. After all, February is theΒ  “official” month of love…let’s be abit romantic! Hope you like it! πŸ™‚

For this project I used the following

Supplies:

Just believe!

Hello my crafty friends!

It’s Kleri here! Today I haven’t been in the best of moods …it’s been one of them days that nothing goes to plan…so I decided to create a cute card to cheer me up abit!Hope you enjoy it!

Quick Instructions:

To create this card I just stamped all my elements directly on the paper – masking only one balloon to make the cloud seem like it is behind it. I watercolored everything using the Distress inksΒ  and Kuretake watercolors listed below. Then I stamped the balloons on a spare piece of paper and fuzzy cut a few that I painted in pink. Then I stuck them on top of the respective ones on my main card to create a bit of dimension. I added the details on the ribbon of the present …and called the card done!Simple!

Supplies:

  • Kraft Cardstock paper – white
  • Archival Ink Jet Black
  • Kuretake Gansai Tambi: No 50
  • Distress Mini Ink Pads: mustard seed, picked raspberry
  • Newton’s Nook Designs: Newton’s Christmas Cuddles stamp set
  • Simon Says Stamp: Secret Garden stamp set
  • Creative stamping – Up in the air stamp set
  • Paper trimmer
  • Waterbrush
  • Black sharpie (to outline the cut outs)
  • Pink fineliner
  • Glue

I love you!

Hello my friends!

Hope you have a nice week! For me it hasn’t been great so far…it’s kind of testing my nerves…but a good antidote to that is always getting lost in your crafty world, no?!

So today I would like to share with you my latest card! I decided, despite of my mood, to create something cute and nice! Hope you like it as much as I do! After all…it is when things are not great that love is needed the most, isn’t it? πŸ™‚

Quick Instructions:

To create this card I stamped the heart on white cardstock and painted using my Copic markers. Then I covered it in Crackle accents and let it dry (for a few hours). Meanwhile I stamped the puppy and colored him with Copics as well. Then I used the stencil and an ink blending tool to apply Black soot on my panel, to create the gorgeous clocks. (I don’t know about you but I love this stencil!).Then I decided to doodle some lines (using a fineliner pen that has almost run out to match the color of the ink) to create more interest.Β  To cover my tiny mistake I also stamped a little circle stamp near the biggest clock – I think it covers the ink that bled through the stencil quite well πŸ™‚ Then I positioned everything on my panel and adhered them with double sided tape. Last but not least I stamped the sentiment using the Concord & 9th Perfectly Penned stamp set. And it’s done!

Supplies used:

  • Kraft Cardstock paper – white
  • Archival Ink Jet Black
  • Copic markers: C1, C3, C5, E00, E11, E51, E35,Β  E57,Β  R20, R27, R59
  • Distress Mini Ink pads: Black soot
  • Mini ink blending tool by Ranger
  • Black sharpie (for outlining the heart)
  • Concord & 9th Perfectly Penned stamp set
  • Paper smooches :Chubby Chums stamp set
  • Doo Lally Pip: Steamed Up stamp set
  • The Crafters Workshop: Mini Time Travel stencil
  • Black fineliner
  • Ranger- Crackled accents
  • Paper trimmer
  • Double sided tape
  • Scissors

Grey and yellow!

Hello my friends!

Hope you all have a beautiful weekend! Today, when I woke up (and not for very long, cause as everyone knows the weather in the UK is changing by the hour -lol!) it was all nice and sunny! The kind of sunshine that makes things glow! So I felt like using yellow! (But grey seemed to be also fitting as now it’s all grey and dull outside… hahaha!)

Anyway, with this color combination in mind I decided to create a card and since grey is not a very happy color…I made a sympathy card! I used to really dislike sympathy cards because of the occasion they are for, however lately I have started seeing the beauty in their tranquility and their expression of feelings. I have to admit mine didn’t turn out to be very soft in color (for some reason I felt that any lighter yellow was too soft to create some contrast) but I hope it is still suitable for the occasion.

For my project I used the following supplies.

Supplies:

  • Kraft Cardstock paper – white
  • The Works -Black craft card 200gsm
  • Archival Ink Jet Black
  • Kuretake Gansai Tambi: No 33, No43, No 20
  • Tombow Dual Brush Marker N15
  • Altenew : Bamboo Rose stamp set
  • Avery Elle -With Sympathy stamp set
  • Versamark Ink
  • Wow! Metallic Silver Regular embossing powder
  • Heat tool
  • Circle nested dies (unbranded)
  • Sizzix Big Shot Machine
  • Paper trimmer
  • Waterbrush
  • Black gel pen
  • Ruler
  • Pen

CAS: You always read me!

Hello my friends!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend and loads of spare time to craft! I’m off work so I’ve been a busy bee! Here I want to share with you a clean and simple card I made inspired by one of my favorite stamp sets, MFT – Our Story!

The idea behind it was that I wanted to great a background that resembles a script but it is not very easy to read. The reason being that I wanted to point out that the recipient can read me even when it is not that easy! Not sure if that is obvious but..oh well…I tried! Hahaha…Anyway, I hope you enjoy my little card and get inspired to create something as well! πŸ™‚

Supplies used:

  • Kraft Cardstock paper – white
  • Archival Ink Jet Black
  • Copic markers: E00, E11, E51, E35, E49, E57, B12, B95, B97, YG03, YG17, YG67
  • Black sharpie (for outlining the images)

Miss you!

Hello my friends!

I don’t know about you but personally I have many friends that live very far away. So I decided to make a miss you card!

For this project I retrieved an old beautiful stamp set that I haven’t used for a while but I really like! (That’s the thing, when we buy new crafting supplies many of our old ones kind of get lost in the bottom of our drawers!Such a shame!) I also used my Kuretake watercolors that I think they are simply amazing…so vibrant and rich in color! And my favorite Avery Elle die set – “A tag for all” (honestly this is a very versatile dieset…I’m so pleased I got it!),Hope you like my card and get inspired! And if you do, don’t forget to use your old supplies! Show them some love!

Quick Instructions:

To create this card, I stamped my images on white cardstock (making sure to mask the ones that I wanted to be in the foreground ). I then watercolored everything using my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors. Then I diecut the “miss you” sentiment out of black cardstock and stuck the negative space on my card. Easy and fun to make!

Supplies used:

  • Kraft Cardstock paper – white
  • The Works -Black craft card 200gsm
  • Archival Ink Jet Black
  • Kuretake Gansai Tambi: No 30, No31, No 57, No 50
  • Dylusions: Floral flourish stamp set
  • Avery Elle – A tag for all die (miss you)
  • Sizzix Big Shot Machine
  • Paper trimmer
  • Waterbrush
  • Black gel pen
  • Double sided tape

Here for you!

Hello my crafty friends!

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Today I decided to create a sympathy card, cause it’s one of them that you never know when you’ll need them and I don’t tend to create them often.

For this card I used the Altenew – Bamboo Rose stamp set, which is absolutely amazing and really very fun to use as it is very versatile. The sentiments are from the Avery Elle -With Sympathy stamp set which is great for the occasion, has plenty of sentiments and is very good value for money πŸ™‚ Hope you like it!

Quick Instructions:

To create my card, I stamped the roses in Versamark ink and used Clear embossing powder, then I heat embossed them. I painted the flowers and leaves using waterdowned Kuretake watercolors. I randomly shadow-stamped the music patterned on the background to create some interest and made some splatters with black watercolor. Then I used my Sizzix Big Shot Machine (one of my favorite tools) to diecut a circle and my trimmer and scissors to make a fish-tailed panel for my sentiments. Then I used Distress inks to ink the edges of my panels. In the end I stamped the sentiments and adhered everything together.

Supplies:

  • Kraft Cardstock paper – white
  • Vintage Chic Creations Patterned Paper
  • Archival Ink Jet Black
  • Kuretake Gansai Tambi: No 57, No50, No 21, N20
  • Distress mini ink pad: Peacock feathers
  • Mini ink blending tool
  • Altenew : Bamboo Rose stamp set
  • Avery Elle -With Sympathy stamp set
  • BoBunny: It’s Written stamp set
  • Circle nested dies (unbranded)
  • Sizzix Big Shot Machine
  • Versamark Ink
  • Clear embossing powder (unknown maker)
  • Heat tool
  • Paper trimmer

Now is the time for love!

Hello my crafty friends!

It’s Kleri here and today I have created a very “special” card that is about love and time! I really like this card because it can be interpreted in many different ways and carry many different messages. Love takes time to grow…Time flies when we are with people we love…Now maybe the right time to do something for/with our one and only…and so on. I really hope you like it as much as I do! πŸ™‚

Quick Instructions:

For this project I used one of my favorite tools, the mini ink blending tool by Ranger, to create the background- using distress inks and splatters of water. I then stamped the text sentiment from the BoBunny set in the lightest Distress ink color. I inked the edges black for better definition. I colored the images using Copic markers and stuck them on the paper with double sided tape. In the end I stamped the sentiment. It’s a quick and easy card, really fun to make and -in my opinion- very sweet and different!

Supplies used:

  • Kraft Cardstock paper – white
  • Archival Ink Jet Black
  • Copic markers: C1, C3, C5,C7, E00, E11, E51, E35, E49, E57, E04, B12, R20, R27, R59
  • Distress Mini Ink pads: Tumbled glass, Salty ocean, Chipped sapphire, Black soot
  • Mini ink blending tool by Ranger
  • Waterbrush
  • Black sharpie (for outlining the images)
  • Doo Lally Pip: Steamed Up stamp set
  • Doo Lally Pip: Time Travel stamp set
  • Prima Marketing: Time Travelers’s Memories
  • BoBunny: It’s Written stamp set
  • Paper trimmer
  • Double sided tape
  • Scissors

I simply love you!

Hello my friends,

As Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and all challenges seem to be about hearts and love…I decided to challenge myself to make a “love you” card that would be out of my comfort zone and made with a limited number of supplies! At the end of the day, simplicity can be beautiful and carry the message just as well! πŸ™‚

I admit that when it comes to card making…I like colors and images that are “cute” and “happy”. Simply because they cheer me up! For this self-challenge … I decided to go for a different look. I chose non-cute colors and I played with the contrast of the papers…one is linen metallic and the other is craft paper! Two materials so different as (quite often) two people in a relationship!

Here is my little card!Hope you like it and get inspired! πŸ™‚

Supplies used:

  • 6×6 craft paper card
  • Craft sensations- linen cardstock metallic (dark wine red)
  • Avery Elle – A tag for all die (love you)
  • Simon Says Stamp – Highlight frames die
  • Nested heart dies (unbranded)
  • Sizzix Big Shot Machine
  • Double sidedΒ  tape

With the above card I took part in the following challenges. If you have the time, I suggest you visit these blogs as they are full of inspirational creations made by wonderful ladies.
