You’re the cream in my coffee!

Hello my crafty friends!

It’s Kleri here with another card …since I could not resist using my new Newton’s Nook stamp set. Newton loves coffee ..and so do I! For the record, this is not a new stamp set…but it is absolutely adorable and since I am still trying to build a nice range of supplies I am super happy that I managed to get hold of this one πŸ™‚

With this stamp set I created the following card.I hope you like it and get inspired!

For this card I used the following supplies.

Supplies:

  • Kraft Cardstock paper – white
  • Vintage Chic Creations Patterned Paper
  • Archival Ink Jet Black
  • Ranger Mini Distress Ink: Seedless Preserves
  • Kuretake Gansai Tambi: No 33, No50, No32
  • Copic marker: C1
  • Winsor & Newton: burnt umber (for the coffee)
  • Newton’s Nook: Newton loves coffee stamp set
  • Inkadinkado: Circle and dots stamp set
  • Square nested dies (unbranded)
  • Sizzix Big Shot Machine
  • Paper trimmer
  • Waterbrush
  • Mini Ink Blending tool
  • Black gel pen
  • Double sided tape
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Ruler

Instructions:

To create this card, I cut a panel to match the size of my card and I marked in pencil the area where the coffee cups would be. Then I stamped them and I used watercolors and the mini ink (used also as watercolor) to paint the cups and the inbetween area. Then I diecut the square and stamped my image which I also painted with the watercolors. I used the copic marker to create some shadows on this coffee cup since it is part of my focal point and I wanted it to stand out abit. Then I stamped my sentiment and drew the lines to connected to the image and add more interest.

Then I cut a stripe of patterned paper and cut a fish tail with my scissors.I inked it all around to help it blend with the rest of my card. Since I didn’t have any purple patterned paper, I created my own using seedless preserves ink (applied with the blending tool) and the Inkadinkado stamp set.

IΒ  outlined with a black pen the area with the coffee cups and then I adhered all my pieces on the card. Fun and easy!

With this project I entered the following challenges. For tons of inspiration, I would suggest you visit these blogs and why not enter their challenges as well! πŸ™‚

The best chapter!

Hello my friends!

It’s Kleri here and I am back with a card which I just made using one of my favorite stamp sets…which I was after for months and I just managed to get yesterday! It really felt like Christmas all over again when I got the mail! So excited!

This stamp set by My Favorite Things is called “Our Story” and it is really super cute! You will probably see me posting many cards using it as my head is already full of ideas about it!Hahaha..anyway…this is the card I’ve just made.Hope you like it!

Supplies:

  • Kraft Cardstock paper – white
  • Urban Style Patterned Paper (2 patterns)
  • The Works -Black craft card 200gsm
  • Archival Ink Jet Black
  • Copic markers: E57, E35, 351, E11, E04, E00, C1, C3, C5, BG13, BG49, B00, V09,V15,V17
  • MFT Our Story stamp set
  • Simon Says Stamp Circle Sayings
  • Circle nested dies (unbranded)
  • Sizzix Big Shot Machine
  • Paper trimmer
  • Versamark Ink
  • Wow! Opaque Bright White Regular embossing powder
  • Heat tool
  • Double sided tape
  • Scissors

Instructions:

To create this card I cut the patterned papers into the right shapes using the paper trimmer and the die, then I stamped the circle saying onto the circle. On a white paper I stamped the image and painted it using copic markers. Beware Archival ink is not really very copic friendly and tends to bleed so avoid going over the lines as much as possible. To be honest I don’t know if the paper I used is the right for copics either but it’s the only one I have at the moment and it didn’t really cause me any major problems. When I finished with my image, I fuzzy cut it and then I stamped the sentiment on black craft card using Versamark ink.I applied the embossing powder and heat embossed it.Then I adhered everything on my card using double sided tape.

With this project I’ve decided to enter the following challenges. There are plenty of very inspiring creations on these blogs so if you have some time, I would suggest you have a look! πŸ™‚

Please be mine!

Hello my friends πŸ™‚

Hope you are having a good week!Today I’ve created a little Valentine’s card which I would like to share with you. Hope you like it!

I totally adore this Paper Smooches stampset which is so cute and versatile! Since I am fairly new to card making I really enjoy stamp sets that can be used again and again in many different ways.

The idea for this layout was inspired by MFT Sketch ChallengeΒ  theme and moreΒ  specifically by Anna Kossakovskaya’s card (below) :

For my project I used the following

Supplies:

  • Kraft Cardstock paper – white
  • The Works -Black craft card 200gsm
  • Archival Ink Jet Black
  • Distress Mini Ink Pads: fired brick, candied apple, picked respberry, wilted violet, seedless preserves, black soot
  • Paper smooches :Chubby Chums stamp set
  • Concord & 9th : Perfectly Penned stamp set
  • Simon Says Stamp Circle Sayings stamp set (little hearts)
  • Avery Elle – Tags for all – die set (love)
  • Versamark Ink
  • WOW!Clear Gloss Regular embossing powder
  • Heat tool
  • Paper trimmer
  • Waterbrush
  • Mini blending tool
  • Black gel pen
  • Black glitter gel pen
  • Double sided tape
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
Instructions:

To create the background I applied the distress inks with the mini blending tool until I got a soft blended look, then I splashed water to create the abstract effect. I colored the images with the same distressed inks and a waterbrush (as if they were watercolors). Then I stamped the sentiment and the little details and adhered the images. I then glued the card on a black panel leaving some space on the right which I decorated with the glitter pen and then glued the word love (which I had already diecut and embossed).

With this project I entered the following challenges. Please, if you have time, visit these fabulous blogs and have a look at what these talented ladies have created.I guarantee you’ll be inspired!
