Chibi says Happy Birthday!

Hello my friends!

Today I feel really excited…you know that feeling when you have created something that you really like?! Well…yes! I fell in love with this little card! Chibiballoons is just super cute and the Mini Specimens stencil is one of my all time favorites! Anyway, without further ado, here is the card I created!Hope you like it! ๐Ÿ™‚

Quick Instructions:

I started off by printing Chibi and coloring her using Copics. I then fussy cut it and kept it aside. I diecut the sentiment twice. One out of dark blue linen cardstock and one out of white cardstock. I kept ALL the left overs. I used double sided tape along the bottom of my card panel wide enough to cover the full size of my sentiment banner. I first adhered down the dark blue banner, then the white diecuts and then the tiny dark blue left overs to fill in the gaps. I cut a super thin stripe of white cardstock and adhered it along the top side of the banner to make the transition to the panel look smoother. Next I used the stencil and the mini ink blending tool to apply Chipped Sapphire Distress ink. Then because I felt that the white space was more than I wanted, I used a small circle patterned stamp to create more interest. For a crispier impression,I used Hero Arts Navy ink to stamp the circles. Last I adhered Chibi on my panel and stick it on a cardbase. All done!

Supplies used:

  • 100gsm printer paper
  • Kraft Cardstock paper โ€“ white
  • Craft sensations- linen cardstock metallic (dark blue)
  • Bugaboo digital stamp – Chibiballoons
  • Inkadinkado – Circle and dots stamp set
  • The Crafters Workshop – Rebekah Meier Designs – Mini Specimens stencil
  • Ranger โ€“ Mini Distress Ink pads: Chipped Sapphire
  • Hero Arts – Mini ink cubes – Navy

  • Tombow Dual Brush Marker โ€“ N15 (Black)
  • Avery Elle โ€“ Tags for all โ€“ die set (happy birthday)
  • Sizzix Big Shot Machine
  • Ranger – Mini Ink Blending tool
  • Paper trimmer
  • Glue
  • Double sided tape

Chibi the Cupcake Peeker!

Hello everyone!

Hope you are having an amazing weekend! I have a cold and I had to wake up pretty early to go to work..lol…on the positive side…coming back home tired is a good reason to do crafting instead of housework..lol.

So today I decided to use this adorable Bugaboo image and create a birthday card. The idea for the layout came from the YNS current challenge and the rainbow colored cupcake case was inspired by Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge theme. Isn’t it cute? ๐Ÿ™‚

Quick Instructions:

I started my card by sticking the patterned paper down onto my card panel. Then I inked it all around with Wilted violet Distress ink. I printed out the image and colored it using Copics. Then I fussy cut it and left it aside. I cut some white cardstock to the size of a tag and using my mini ink blending tool I applied Dusty Concord Distress ink. I splattered some water to create a watercolor look background. I defined the top and bottom edges with my Copic marker and punched a hole. When it was totally dry I adhered my image and the little bow. I stuck the tag on the cardstock. Then I heat embossed the sentiment on a dark blue linen patterned paper and adhered that down onto my card as well. Job done!

Supplies used:

  • Kraft Cardstock paper โ€“ white
  • Design Blok- Mix & Match Basic Fine Art patterned paper
  • Craft sensations- linen cardstock metallic (dark blue)
  • Bugaboo stamps โ€“ Chibicupcakepeeker
  • Adam Pescott – You are so sweet stampset
  • Copics: R59,R29,Y15,Y11,Y38,YG03,YG17,B05, B02.V17,V09,RV66,RV09,RV04,RV02, E11,E51,E00,E25,E35,E37,E53
  • Tim Holtz – Distress mini ink pads: Wilted violet, Dusty Concord
  • Versamark Ink
  • Wow! Opaque Bright White Regular embossing powder
  • Heat tool
  • Paper trimmer
  • Waterbrush
  • Double sided tape
  • Scissors

Feel better soon!

Hello my friends!

Friday today…weekend is waiting ahead…and I have a cold and I need to go to work as well!lol….So I decided to create a cute card to cheer myself up…and I couldn’t think of anything more suitable than this super cute Bugaboo bear and the Altenew sentiment ‘feel better soon’!!! Hope you like it! ๐Ÿ™‚

Quick Instructions:

This card was pretty simple to make. I first printed the image and colored it using ZIGs. Then I fussy cut it. I heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock and cut it to size. Then I colored the rainbow using Copic markers since the broad tip made it really easy to keep the lines at the same size. I adhered everything on my card panel using double sided tape and glued the panel on black cardstock. Job done! ๐Ÿ™‚

Supplies used:

  • 100gsm printer paper (to print the image โ€“ go abit thicker if your printer allows it and you have the paper)
  • Kraft Cardstock paper โ€“ white
  • The Works -Black craft card 200gsm
  • Bugaboo stamps – cloud sitter
  • Altenew – Bamboo Rose stamp set
  • ZIG clean color real brush: Brown, Light brown,Beige,Yellow,Light Blue,Blue
  • Copics: R29,YR16,Y15,YG17,B05,V17,RV09,RV04,RV02
  • Versamark Ink
  • Wow! Opaque Bright White Regular embossing powder
  • Heat tool
  • Paper trimmer
  • Waterbrush
  • Double sided tape
  • Scissors

A magical day!

Hello my friends!

Today I was in a pretty crafty mood….so I decided to made one more birthday card…since they are always handy to have around! And these squirrels from Neat and Tangled are simply adorable…I couldn’t resist using this stamp set! I am not a very ‘pink’ person…yet I really like the combination of pink and brown… and I believe that this card turned out quite sweet and perfect for a girly girl! Isn’t it? ๐Ÿ™‚

Quick Instructions:

I used a circle die to create a window for my card and I stamped the happy birthday all around it using black Archival ink. With the same ink, I stamped the little elements all around, making sure I rotated the images to create more interest. I used watered-down Zigs to color the images and the background. I added some Clear Wink of Stella on the big hearts to give a tiny bit of sparkle to the card. Next I stamped the squirrel on white cardstock and colored it with Winsor and Newton watercolors. I fussy cut it. Then I adhered everything on my card panel. Once everything was in place I stamped the sentiment inside the window in Hero Arts Bubble Gum ink.

Supplies used:

  • Kraft Cardstock paper โ€“ white
  • Neat and Tangled – My favorite nut stamp set
  • Simon Says Stamp – Circle sayings stamp set
  • Simon Says Stamp – Secret Garden stamp set
  • ZIG- Wink of Stella clear glitter brush pen
  • ZIG clean color real brush: Wine Red, Carmine Red, Mid Brown, Light Pink, Light Green
  • Winsor & Newton: burnt umber , burnt sienna
  • Ranger- Archival Jet Black Ink
  • Hero Arts – Bubble gum ink
  • Sizzix Big Shot Machine
  • Circle nested dies (unbranded)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Double sided tape

You are amazing!

Hello my crafty friends!

You know that feeling…when your have a super cute image on your desk staring at you?!!!…That’s what just happened to me!!! This adorable Aurora Wings- Hyacinth Sprite has been trying to catch my attention all morning! So I decided to show her some love! And here is what I created with her! Soft and sweet like her! Hope you like it!

Quick Instructions:

This card is extremely simple to make. I first found a pastel patterned paper that I liked and cut it to the size of my card. Then I used a rectangle die to cut a piece of white cardstock. I colored my image using Gansai Tambi watercolors and fussy cut it. Then I adhered it to the rectangle piece and stuck them on top of the patterned paper. Next I stamped my sentiment on some metallic linen cardstock and cut it down to the right size, then I adhered it on the rectangle piece. To finish off my card, I used Lindy’s Magicals to create the illusion of sky and lawn around my image. (I chose Lindy’s cause they have a beautiful shimmer that I believe adds a little something to my simple card.) And my card was done!

Supplies used:

  • Kraft Cardstock paper โ€“ white
  • Design Blok- Mix & Match Basic Fine Art patterned paper
  • Craft sensations- linen cardstock metallic (pale teal)
  • Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors: No 51, No62, No139, No 44

  • Sizzix Big Shot Machine
  • Rectangle nested dies (unbranded)
  • Watercolor brush

Friends forever!

Hello my friends!

Today it’s been a nice sunny day here, which totally made my mood! So I decided to play with colors….all of them!lol…Therefore I created a rainbow card!Cause bright colors seemed to match my mood!I really enjoyed making this card and I hope you enjoy the outcome too ๐Ÿ™‚

Quick Instructions:

To create this card I masked off the bottom half of my card and applied my Distress inks over the stencil using a blending tool to create the rainbow effect on the top section. I had to move the stencil around abit. Then I cut a stripe of white cardstock and stuck it along the two parts to create some kind of border. I stamped the bunnies on white cardstock and colored them using Copics. I then stuck them down with double sided tape and stamped the sentiment using Archival Ink Jet Black.

Supplies used:
  • Kraft Cardstock paper โ€“ white
  • Tim Holtz: Clockwork Layering stencil
  • MFT โ€“ Snuggle bunnies stamp set
  • Create a smile – This must be love stamp set
  • Archival Ink Jet Black (ideally you should use a Copic friendly ink if you are using Copics but I didnโ€™t have one so I was just careful not to go over the ink with my markers)
  • Ranger โ€“ Mini Distress Ink pads: Wilted violet, salty ocean, mowed lawn, mustard seed, carved pumpkin, candied apple
  • Copics:ย  C1,C3,C5,C7, R22,R29,R59, YR16,Y17,Y15,YG03,YG17, B00,B12,V17,V09

Let’s laugh together!

Hello my crafty friends!

Hope you are all having a good time! I thought to pop and say hello with a little tag today! It’s been a while since I made a tag and, feeling abit moody and tired, making something sweet and easy seemed like a good idea!

Quick Instructions:

To create this tag I applied green gelatos with a baby wipe to create a color base. Then I used distress inks over my stencils to create some patterns. Next I stamped the ‘I’m glad we ‘re friends’ sentiment over and over again in different color Hero Arts Inks, making sure to move my stamping block left and right so that the sentiment doesn’t look identical every time. I then stamped the bunnies on white cardstock and colored them using my Copics. When I finished coloring them, I fussy cut them leaving a small border around them. I then used the Unicorn Hero Arts ink to stamp the sentiment on black cardstock, cut them to the right size and adhered it to my tag. Next I adhered the bunnies using double sided tape on one and double sided foam tape for the other to create some depth. Last I punched a whole and attached some twine to complete my project!Hope you like it!

Supplies used:
  • Kraft Cardstock paper โ€“ white
  • The Works -Black craft card 200gsm
  • The Crafters Workshop: Mini Speciments stencil
  • The Crafters Companion: Mini Well Rounded stencil
  • MFT – Snuggle bunnies stamp set
  • Archival Ink Jet Black (ideally you should use a Copic friendly ink if you are using Copics but I didnโ€™t have one so I was just careful not to go over the ink with my markers)
  • Ranger – Mini Distress Ink pads: chipped sapphire, salty ocean
  • Faber Castell – Gelatos: Lime
  • Copics: E00, B97,B95,R22,R29,R59, C1,C3,C5,C7
  • hero Arts Mini Ink Cubes: Unicorn, Cornflower, Lime Green
  • Paper trimmer
  • Double sided tape
  • Double sided foam tape

Start living your dreams!

Hello my friends!

Today I decided to get out of my comfort zone….like…really out..(hahaha)! Those of you who have been around for a while you may know that I don’t often create pages with photos/pictures… but I think it can be really motivational to combine quotes or inspirational words with nice pictures in interesting layouts ๐Ÿ™‚ So…here is me trying to learn something new! ๐Ÿ™‚

I admit that it was a real challenge and the blank page of the journal was quite intimidating after all this time that I haven’t created any art journal pages! But after completing it I felt really inspired! Hope you feel the same! ๐Ÿ™‚

Creative process:

To begin with, I decided to adoptย  the “Dream + black &white plus one” theme of the More than Words Challenge. Dream in my mind is linked to hope. And since green is a color that is known to put heart and mind in balance, I decided to go for Black,White and Green!

I started by preparing my page with white gesso. Then I used modeling paste through the stencils to create the leaves and the clock. Once they were completely dry I used Lindy’s Magical Bells of Ireland Green to accent the raised areas. Then I used Dylusions Black Marble spray along the edges and sprayed it with water to help it run around creating depth and a shadowy look. I sprayed Dylusions White Linen in the center of the page to brighten up the middle area. Once I was satisfied with the colors I used my heat tool to dry the page. I searched the Internet for a picture and a sentiment, printed them out and cut them to the right size. I distressed the their edges by inking them. I stuck them nicely on a dark patterned paper and I stamped and heat embossed in white my “Dare to dream” sentiment. To help my focal point pop abit more I created a stripy black and white pattern with a Black Sharpie and fussy cut the word Dream which I outlined with white and green to help it relate to my project. I adhered everything down and I decided to doodle abit around my images with white and black gel pens to make my focal point stand out. At that point I realised that I wanted to add more light to my project. So I used my white Gelatos to highlight the whole area around my focal point and my black Gelatos all around the page to darken the edges and enhance the contrast. And that completed my art journal page!

Supplies used:

  • A5 Sketch Pad
  • White Gesso
  • Deco Art Media Modeling Paste
  • Faber Castell Gelatos : Coconut, Black Licorice
  • Tim Holtz Mini Distress Ink Pad : Black soot
  • Lindy’s Stamp Gang: Magical Bells of Ireland Green
  • Dylusions Spray: White Linen, Black Marble
  • Tim Holtz Clockwork stencil
  • Dylusions โ€“ Floral flourish stencil
  • Blue Fern Studios – Dreamy stamp set
  • Creations Design Pad-Urban style patterned paper
  • Wow! Opaque Bright White Regular embossing powder
  • Heat tool
  • Paper trimmer
  • Waterbrush
  • Double sided tape
  • Black gel pen
  • White gel pen
