You are going places!

Hello my friends!

Have a nice week everyone! Today I am off work so I thought to have some nice time crafting as it is rainy outside. And as I was going through my stash I found this old unbranded embossing folder and I remembered a fun technique for dry embossing so I went for it! And I am very pleased with the result! Isn’t this card really cute?

Quick Instructions:

I dry embossed a piece of white cardstock and used Distress ink pads to go through the raised areas to color the stones. Then I cut it down to the right size.Β  I stamped the dog face on white cardstock and colored it with watercolors, then I fussy cut it. Next I stamped the scene on my card base using my Stamp Platform. I colored everything with watercolors making sure I didn’t apply too much water (You can of course use a card panel and adhered everything on there, which would probably be less risky. But I wanted to keep the layers to the minimum). Last I white heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock and stuck everything down – some with double sided tape and some with double sided foam. (To cover up a mistake I watercolored the sky around the dog, but I really like how it turned out in the end!) And that completed my card! Easy and fun! πŸ™‚

Joyous Christmas in June!

Hello everyone!

Hope you are having a wonderful day! Here it’s warm but rainy today so I have a good excuse to stay in and do some crafty stuff before work! (as if I need an excuse!) πŸ™‚

You will probably think that I’m going crazy…but today I would like to share with you a Christmas card!…Well the truth is…I’m a bit of a “special case” like most artistic people are…but I have a good reason why I made a Christmas card! At the start of each month I like to set some small goals for myself…and this time one of them was to start making my Christmas cards early because last year (which was the first time I made Christmas cards!) I didn’t manage to make enough for all the family and friends and I ended up having to buy some! This year I want to have loads and loads in stock instead …therefore I have to start early! So…here is my first one for this year and (if things go as planned) there should be more to come soon! Hope you like it!

(The bauble he is holding is covered with Glossy Accents which gives it a nice 3D effect but the photo didn’t really capture it!Oh well…!)
