CGC DT Post – Challenge #169

Hello crafty friends!

I really can’t believe that it is July already! This year has flown over! Anyway…it is time for yet another challenge at the Crafty Girls Corner! This time the theme is: “Red, white and blue” – influenced by Independence Day in the USA, but you don’t necessarily have to follow the patriotic theme if you don’t want to. I decided to go with a different theme to hopefully give some inspiration to people who may want to take a different route! 🙂

As per usual the challenge is sponsored by 3 super amazing sponsors!

Prize ~ $15 Gift Certificate

Star Stampz

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

Are you interested in digital sentiments, papers and other embellishments? How about a badge made especially for your blog? If these are items you are interested in, you are going to want to check out Décosse’s Dynamite Doodles. My name is Lisa and with over 200+ posts of freebies to choose from, and new ones added often, I just might have what you are looking for. Along with the freebies I offer, I also create blog badges, watermarks and digital Scrapbooking Kits. I also sponsor a number of challenge blogs throughout the year and it is my absolute pleasure to have the opportunity to sponsor the Crafty Gals Corner Challenge Blog!

If you have the time, I’d love for you to pop by and visit me. There is always inspiration to be found among my many different features. Come and take a look–I hope you have a blast!

For this challenge I used Alice Chibi by Star Stampz! Isn’t this digi super cute?!!!I just love it!I love Alice in Wonderland and I love Steampunk…so naturally I fell in love with the end result (although I was super tired when I finished the card after a long day and after midnight!)…Anyway, to create this card I used Derwent Inktense pencils to color the image and Tim Holtz Distress Oxides for the background and sentiment banner. For stamping I used: MFT- Typewriter text, Doo-Lally Pip -Steamed Up, Doo-Lally Pip – Time Travel and MFT – Our Story. The die cutting was made using Sizzix – Thinlits 661184 (Tim Holtz Alterations) and unbranded Oval dies.

With this card I’m going to enter the following challenges:

Many thanks for taking the time to leave me a comment.
