CGC DT Post – Challenge #175

Hello beautiful crafty friends!

I’m so excited that the weather has started cooling down and the leaves have started changing colors and finally it feels like autumn again! Yey! I still can’t believe that time goes so fast but….I’m excited anyway! And speaking about time…guess what? There is a new challenge up at the Crafty Gals Corner! The theme is Anything Fall Goes and we have 3 amazing sponsors for this challenge!

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

Prize ~ 1 Image Pack

Prize ~ 1 digital image

Since we are getting really close to October…you may have noticed that people have started getting ready for Halloween! I come from a background where we don’t celebrate this holiday but having been living in the UK for quite a few years now, I am used to this tradition and kind of looking forward to it. However, we don’t really exchange Halloween cards so I thought to use my stamp in  a different way that is fun, creative but also practical! So I used the Little Witch by Fabrika Fantasy to create the front page of my bullet journal layout for October….and I have to admit I really love it!Don’t get me wrong I really enjoy making cards, but I am an advocate for using your supplies as much as possible, in many different ways …after all we are supposed to be creators, not mere consumers, right? So yes….get inspired by your supplies and get crafty.

Bullet journals are an awesome way to be creative and practical at the same time! Personally I love that I get to actually see my creation on a daily basis rather than having it tucked away in  a box or a drawer. At the same time I create something visually pleasing that motivates me to go back to my journal, which in turn helps me stay organized and focused and therefore more productive. (It’s a Win/Win situation!)And if you are like me and you can draw a little bit but you don’t feel that this is your strong point….stamps are your friends!

Anyway…without further ado..this is my project for this challenge!Apart from this Little Witch digi stamp, which I colored using Copic Markers, I used an Old English Lettering stencil to write my title and watercolors to paint the moon and the little details. All the rest were hand-drawn using a Pigma-Micron black pen (any waterproof pen would do) and the calendar was stamped using a generic calendar stampset.

And because I am all about helping eachother and respecting other people’s creations, I want to do a little shout-out to “My Inner Creative” for inspiring me to create this witchy-themed page. (Honestly, the Harry Potter layouts on this blog are mind-blowing!)

With this project I am going to join the following challenges. Feel free to have a look at these beautiful challenge blogs and join the fun!

CGC DT Post – Challenge #174

Hello crafty friends! Can you believe that it is September already?! Crazy, right?!Where did the time go???? Anyway I’m kind of happy that it is autumn… it’s getting a bit cooler and I’m almost ready for sweaters, books and hot coffee! And talking about cooler weather…today I have a Christmas card to share with you…but let’s take things from the beginning, shall we?

It is Wednesday and that means that there is a new challenge at the Crafty Gals Corner. This week the theme is “ 3+ layers” and as per usual we have some awesome sponsors that have some great prizes for you!

Digital Delights by Louby Loo

Prize: $5 Gift Certificate

Prize: 2 Digital Images

Bugaboo Stamps

Prize: $12 Gift Certificate

For this challenge I used the “Fall Dog” by Digital Delights! This image could obviously make a lovely Fall-themed card but… me being me…I decided to use it to create a Christmas card because…why not?!

I colored the image using Copic markers (and some of them are running out of ink but I love their vibrancy so I decided to stick with them anyway!)…the background is made by simple black cardstock and a silver Sharpie marker. And the sentiment is by C C Designs – Holly Jolly Sentiments. This design is very versatile and allows for many embellishments like: twine, ribbon or strass stones etc… but I love simplicity and I decided to keep mine plain. After all, the image itself is super cute and I didn’t want to take away from it! Hope you like it too!

With this card I’m going to enter the following challenges:
