When they were done I adhered them on my tag and I stamped the sentiment (combining a couple of stamp sets and doing a bit of handwriting as well). Friends forever!

Hello my friends!

Today it’s been a nice sunny day here, which totally made my mood! So I decided to play with colors….all of them!lol…Therefore I created a rainbow card!Cause bright colors seemed to match my mood!I really enjoyed making this card and I hope you enjoy the outcome too πŸ™‚

Quick Instructions:

To create this card I masked off the bottom half of my card and applied my Distress inks over the stencil using a blending tool to create the rainbow effect on the top section. I had to move the stencil around abit. Then I cut a stripe of white cardstock and stuck it along the two parts to create some kind of border. I stamped the bunnies on white cardstock and colored them using Copics. I then stuck them down with double sided tape and stamped the sentiment using Archival Ink Jet Black.

Supplies used:
  • Kraft Cardstock paper – white
  • Tim Holtz: Clockwork Layering stencil
  • MFT – Snuggle bunnies stamp set
  • Create a smile – This must be love stamp set
  • Archival Ink Jet Black (ideally you should use a Copic friendly ink if you are using Copics but I didn’t have one so I was just careful not to go over the ink with my markers)
  • Ranger – Mini Distress Ink pads: Wilted violet, salty ocean, mowed lawn, mustard seed, carved pumpkin, candied apple
  • Copics:Β  C1,C3,C5,C7, R22,R29,R59, YR16,Y17,Y15,YG03,YG17, B00,B12,V17,V09

Let’s laugh together!

Hello my crafty friends!

Hope you are all having a good time! I thought to pop and say hello with a little tag today! It’s been a while since I made a tag and, feeling abit moody and tired, making something sweet and easy seemed like a good idea!

Quick Instructions:

To create this tag I applied green gelatos with a baby wipe to create a color base. Then I used distress inks over my stencils to create some patterns. Next I stamped the ‘I’m glad we ‘re friends’ sentiment over and over again in different color Hero Arts Inks, making sure to move my stamping block left and right so that the sentiment doesn’t look identical every time. I then stamped the bunnies on white cardstock and colored them using my Copics. When I finished coloring them, I fussy cut them leaving a small border around them. I then used the Unicorn Hero Arts ink to stamp the sentiment on black cardstock, cut them to the right size and adhered it to my tag. Next I adhered the bunnies using double sided tape on one and double sided foam tape for the other to create some depth. Last I punched a whole and attached some twine to complete my project!Hope you like it!

Supplies used:
  • Kraft Cardstock paper – white
  • The Works -Black craft card 200gsm
  • The Crafters Workshop: Mini Speciments stencil
  • The Crafters Companion: Mini Well Rounded stencil
  • MFT – Snuggle bunnies stamp set
  • Archival Ink Jet Black (ideally you should use a Copic friendly ink if you are using Copics but I didn’t have one so I was just careful not to go over the ink with my markers)
  • Ranger – Mini Distress Ink pads: chipped sapphire, salty ocean
  • Faber Castell – Gelatos: Lime
  • Copics: E00, B97,B95,R22,R29,R59, C1,C3,C5,C7
  • hero Arts Mini Ink Cubes: Unicorn, Cornflower, Lime Green
  • Paper trimmer
  • Double sided tape
  • Double sided foam tape
  • Hole puncher
  • Twine
  • Scissors

Start living your dreams!

Hello my friends!

Today I decided to get out of my comfort zone….like…really out..(hahaha)! Those of you who have been around for a while you may know that I don’t often create pages with photos/pictures… but I think it can be really motivational to combine quotes or inspirational words with nice pictures in interesting layouts πŸ™‚ So…here is me trying to learn something new! πŸ™‚

I admit that it was a real challenge and the blank page of the journal was quite intimidating after all this time that I haven’t created any art journal pages! But after completing it I felt really inspired! Hope you feel the same! πŸ™‚

Creative process:

To begin with, I decided to adoptΒ  the “Dream + black &white plus one” theme of the More than Words Challenge. Dream in my mind is linked to hope. And since green is a color that is known to put heart and mind in balance, I decided to go for Black,White and Green!

I started by preparing my page with white gesso. Then I used modeling paste through the stencils to create the leaves and the clock. Once they were completely dry I used Lindy’s Magical Bells of Ireland Green to accent the raised areas. Then I used Dylusions Black Marble spray along the edges and sprayed it with water to help it run around creating depth and a shadowy look. I sprayed Dylusions White Linen in the center of the page to brighten up the middle area. Once I was satisfied with the colors I used my heat tool to dry the page. I searched the Internet for a picture and a sentiment, printed them out and cut them to the right size. I distressed the their edges by inking them. I stuck them nicely on a dark patterned paper and I stamped and heat embossed in white my “Dare to dream” sentiment. To help my focal point pop abit more I created a stripy black and white pattern with a Black Sharpie and fussy cut the word Dream which I outlined with white and green to help it relate to my project. I adhered everything down and I decided to doodle abit around my images with white and black gel pens to make my focal point stand out. At that point I realised that I wanted to add more light to my project. So I used my white Gelatos to highlight the whole area around my focal point and my black Gelatos all around the page to darken the edges and enhance the contrast. And that completed my art journal page!

Supplies used:

  • A5 Sketch Pad
  • White Gesso
  • Deco Art Media Modeling Paste
  • Faber Castell Gelatos : Coconut, Black Licorice
  • Tim Holtz Mini Distress Ink Pad : Black soot
  • Lindy’s Stamp Gang: Magical Bells of Ireland Green
  • Dylusions Spray: White Linen, Black Marble
  • Tim Holtz Clockwork stencil
  • Dylusions – Floral flourish stencil
  • Blue Fern Studios – Dreamy stamp set
  • Creations Design Pad-Urban style patterned paper
  • Wow! Opaque Bright White Regular embossing powder
  • Heat tool
  • Paper trimmer
  • Waterbrush
  • Double sided tape
  • Black gel pen
  • White gel pen
  • Black Sharpie
  • Images from the Internet
  • Scissors

Lawn Fawn Birthday!

Hello eveyone!

Today I’ve decided to create a special birthday card! Lawn Fawn is celebrating their 7th birthday so I thought that there is no better way to give your wishes to a company than using their own products! So here is my little card….HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAWN FAWN!!!

Quick Instructions:

To make this card I stamped the bicycle, the girl and the food on a white cardstock and colored them with Copics. Then I fussy cut them and kept them aside for later. I drew a simple road scene using watercolors and let the image dry completely. Meanwhile I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on a black cardstock. When everything was totally dry I adhered my pieces down – some with double sided tape and some with foam tape for dimension. Before I glued my sentiment down I stamped and colored the balloons cause I felt that my scene needed a little something. Last I adhered the whole panel on a black cardstock to create a frame for my picture.

Supplies used:

  • Kraft Cardstock paper – white
  • The Works -Black craft card 200gsm
  • Lawn Fawn – Bicycle built for you stamp set
  • Archival Ink Jet Black (ideally you should use a Copic friendly ink if you are using Copics but I didn’t have one so I was just careful not to go over the ink with my markers)
  • Kuretake Gansai Tambi: No51,No53,No20,No46,No47
  • Copics: E35, E57,E49,E11,E51,E00,Y11,Y15,Y17,YG03,YG17,YG67, C1,C3,C5
  • Tombow Dual Brush Marker – N15 (Black)
  • Versamark Ink
  • Wow! Opaque Bright White Regular embossing powder
  • Heat tool
  • Paper trimmer
  • Waterbrush
  • Double sided tape
  • Double sided foam tape
  • Scissors

Happy Easter!

Hello my crafty friends!

Getting closer to Easter, I thought to create an Easter card to share with you. And to make it more interesting for me, I decided to combine a few challenge themes together! So I decided to use the Muse Challenge layout as my base and then use the elements of the other challenges to enhance my project! Here is my little card!Hope you like it!

Quick Instructions:

To create this little card I first used the rectangle nested dies to die cut a frame. Then I lightly marked with a pencil where the frame would be placed and I stamped the butterfly and the flowers masking off the parts that I wanted to look like being in front of other parts.I then used Zigs to color the images. I stamped the sunflowers on a separate cardstock paper and colored them again. Then I fussy cut them and thaced them with a black Sharpie. I let my images to dry completely. In the meantime, I used Copics to draw the wood effect on the frame. Next I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock. I cut it down and draw faux stitching with a white gel pen. I stuck the frame and the sentiment down using double sided tape and I adhered the sunflowers using foam tape to add some dimension. Finally I used Wink of Stella Clear glitter to add give the flowers some sparkle! And that completed my card!

Supplies used:

  • Kraft Cardstock paper – white
  • The Works -Black craft card 200gsm
  • Penny Black- Blooming garden stamp set
  • Altenew – Bamboo rose stamp set

Together forever and always!

Hello my friends!

Today I would like to start with an announcement! Up to this day I am NOT affiliated with any company and I don’t have any particular reason to promote any company…but I do like to speak my opinion about things I have purchashed and used cause I find it helpful when people share their experience about products I consider buying. Also I like passing information about special offers or sales because I do realise that, like me, there are many people out there that have to spend on a budget and we all feel happy when we find a bargain, don’t we?

So…to get to the point! CREATE A SMILE provides WORLDWIDE FREE SHIPPING on all orders until April 7th 2017 !!! I personally have bought some stamps and stencils from them and I have been really happy with the products and the service. Here is a link to their shop if you wish to have a look! https://www.createasmilestamps.com/

Also CULT PENS (https://www.cultpens.com/) have a 30% OFF COPICs offer if anyone is interested.

Now, to today’s project! I wanted to have a coffee relaxing and playing with my Distress inks avoiding to cause a mess as much as possible! As a result I created this card!Hope you enjoy it!

Quick Instructions:

This card was really easy and fun to make. I first used my wave dies to cut 2 stripes of white cardstock for my sentiment. I stamped and heat embossed the word forever and then stamped the rest of the sentiment in Archival Jet Black ink. Next I used these stripes as a guide to lightly mark the area that I needed to color (this step is optional but it saves you time and ink). Then I placed the stencil on top of my card panel and secured it with masking tape. I used a mini ink blending tool to apply the Distress inks through the stencil. When I finished I carefully removed the stencil and splashed a few drops of water to add more interest to the background. I dabbed the water off with a tissue paper and then adhered the stripes with the sentiment on my panel using double sided tape. All done!

Supplies used:

  • Create a smile – Swirly stencil
  • Create a smile – This must be love stamp set
  • Concord and 9th – Perfectly Penned stampset
  • Kraft Cardstock paper – white
  • Distress Mini Ink Pads: Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, Salty Ocean
  • Ranger Archival Ink Jet Black
  • Ranger -Mini blending tool
  • Versamark Ink
  • Wow! Primary Ebony Regular embossing powder
  • Heat tool
  • Sizzix Big Shot Machine
  • Wavy dies (unbranded)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Double sided tape

With this card I entered the following challenges. If you want, have a look around! And why not, join the fun!

Coffee is in the air!

Hello my crafty friends!

Today I am super excited to play with Newton’s Nook – Newton loves coffee stamp set! I’m a big fan of coffee and this stamp set is one of my favorite! It’s simply irresistably super cute!!!

This project was inspired by 2017 Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop (if you haven’t heard about it I have a link below in the “Challenges” section). But -like I usually do- I enjoy combining challenge themes so I decided to use the color palette of MFT Color Challenge and the sketch theme of Your Next Stamp Challenge! And here what I came up with!

Quick Instructions:

To create this card I stamped my image on white cardstock and colored it with Distress inks. Then I fussy cut it, traced it with a black sharpie and left it aside. I I cut the different pieces of paper to meet the requirements of the sketch challenge and marked lightly on the card panel in pencil where they would be placed. Next I stamped the background images all around using Distress inks. For the cups I used 2nd generation stamping to soften the impression of the stamp. Then I created a mask of the cat and placed it on my square panel, I applied red Distress ink with a blending tool all around it to create a halo around the place where I wanted my image to be (to help it stand out from the background). I stamped the little sentiment and then inked the edges of the patterned paper and adhered both pieces on my card panel. Next I die cut the word Coffee out of black cardstock. I inked the white banner using Peacock Feathers and die cut the word Coffee again making sure to keep all the tiny pieces ! I stamped the rest of the sentiment and the cup and adhered the piece on my card panel using double sided tape (it is important to place the tape along the diecut gaps as well!). Next I placed the black word in the gaps and carefully added the tiny teal left overs to fill in the diecut gaps. Last I adhered the cat image using double sided foam tape to add abit of dimension. And that completed my card!

Supplies used:

  • Kraft Cardstock paper – white
  • The Works -Black craft card 200gsm
  • Creations Design Pad-Vintage Chic patterned paper
  • Newton’s Nook – Newton loves coffee stamp set
  • Create a smile – This must be love stamp set
  • Coffee theme die (unbranded)
  • Archival Ink Jet Black
  • Tim Holtz – Distress Mini Ink Pads: spiced marmalade, peacock feathers, candied apple, fired brick, vintage photo
  • Sizzix Big Shot Machine
  • Paper trimmer
  • Double sided tape
  • Double sided foam tape

With this project I entered the following challenges! Feel free to hop around! There are plenty of prizes to be won and tons of creative projects to get inspired of! πŸ™‚

Baby girl!

Hello my friends!

Happy Saturday! Hope you are having a great time! The weather here is really nice and I try to enjoy it before I have to go to work! However I do want to share with you a simple card I made last night inspired by a beautiful digi stamp and a few challenge themes πŸ™‚ The image is a sprite by Aurora Wings and the layout is based of their challenge sketch. The baby girl theme was chosen due to the current Muse challenge. I thought that this cupcake sprite would be perfect to feature a newborn baby girl! They are both so sweet and beautiful!

Quick Instructions:

I diecut a circle big enough to fit my image and I cut a stripe of white cardstock to wide enough fit my sentiment. Then I cut down pieces of patterned paper which I inked all around to make them more interesting and cohesive to each other. I printed the image and colored it in Copics. Then I fussy cut it. Next I adhered everything on my panel starting from the back and working my way to the front. I then glued down the little gems and I added some Wink of Stella over the red details of my image. Last I stamped the sentiment. Since I didn’t have any relevant stampset I decided to combine other stampsets and stamp letters individually! I used a purple Tombow marker for that as a marker makes it alot easier to control what is colored to get stamped (far faster than masking things out and using ink). Once I stamped the whole sentiment I went over with a glitter pen to add interest and hide any imperfections from stamping. (Ideally I should have used a purple glitter pen but I didn’t have the right color!) And that finished off my card!

Supplies used:

  • Kraft Cardstock paper – white
  • Design Blok – Mix and Match Basic Fine Art patterned paper
  • Aurora Wings – Cupcake Sprite digi stamp
  • WPlus9 – That is all stamp set (used individual letters to write: it’s a)
  • Concord and 9th – Perfectly Penned stampset
  • Tombow Dual Brush Marker – 665 purple
  • Pink glitter pen
  • ZIG- Wink of Stella clear glitter brush pen
  • Copics: R59, R29, R22, RV 09,RV02,V01,V04,V06E35, E53,E51,E11,E00, YG17

Pierrot Sprite!

Hello my friends!

I don’t know if this has ever happened to you but… today I started creating a card that was meant to be a ‘sorry you are leaving’ card (for a friend for work) but ended up creating a ‘sorry for your loss’ card! Oh well…I guess it went abit darker than it was supposed to! (lol) I have to admit that I love it though as the image is really nice and grey happens to be one of my favorite colors πŸ™‚ Hope you like it too!

Quick Instructions:

To make this card I cut a black cardstock panel almost the size of my card base. Then I cut two large pieces of patterned paper that I inked all around to make them look more cohesive. I also cut a stripe of patterned paper to use for my sentiment, I inked its edges as well. I printed and colored the image with ZIGs. Then I die cut it using a circle die. Since I didn’t have any pearls I decided to use a confetti die and die cut some circlies out of black cardstock. Once all my pieces were ready I adhered all the big parts down using double sided tape and glued down the small parts using a glue pen. Last I stamped the sentiment and that was my card done!

Supplies used:

  • 100gsm printer paper (to print the image – go abit thicker if your printer allows it and you have the paper)
  • Kraft Cardstock paper – white
  • The Works -Black craft card 200gsm
  • Creations Design Pad-Pretty pastels patterned paper
  • Creations Design Pad – Urban Style patterned paper
  • Aurora Wings – Pierrot Sprite digi stamp
  • Avery Elle – With sympathy stamp set

  • Sizzix Big Shot Machine
  • Circle nested dies (unbranded)
