Happy Haunting!

Hello my crafty friends!

Hope you all had a great weekend! Monday again… and things are going back to the same all routine…but there is nothing better than making some time to craft a little something!

The Kuretake Gansai Tambi set was lying on my desk and I really wanted to have some watercolor fun. I’m pretty new to crafting and painting so my painting skills may not be impressive but at the end of the day this doesn’t matter…what matters is to enjoy what we do!And I certainly did enjoy creating this journal page! If you feel like your art is not what you would like it to be…DON’T! Just keep practising and it will get better!

Happy Halloween 2

Happy Saturday, my crafty friends!

Hope you all have a nice, chilling weekend! I’m enjoying a day off work and I thought to spend a little time trying out my recently purchased Kuretake watercolors. I have to say I fell in love with them! The colours are so vibrant and so easy to use!

Anyway, I saw a nice stamp set on the Internet that unfortunately I cannot afford at the moment, but it was so inspiring that I decided to draw a critter mage image myself! (obviously my mage is not as gorgeous as the stamp one..but oh well….we can’t have it all, sometimes we need to do the best with what we’ve got!). I guess there are many people who like myself cannot afford all the beautiful little arty things we desire. My advice to them is “don’t get dishearted”. Use all these beauties as inspiration and write them down on a future wish list! All you need is one step at a time ..and eventually you’ll get there! Create with what you’ve got…get started…get motivated and the rest will follow in time!

Anyway…that’s my little art journal!Hope you like it! By the way, the camera hasn’t caught the glitter effect on the mage’s hat and pumpkin, but in real you can see a nice subtle sparkle 🙂

Happy Halloween!

Hello everyone!

Hope you all have a fantastic day!

I was trying to tidy my art supplies today, when I came across this old pattern paper that I always liked but never got to use (does this happen to everyone or is it just me? lol).So I decided that it was about time to show it some love!

Since Halloween seems to be the most popular theme of this month, I decided to grab my mini crazy birds and join the fun! To cut the long story short…I spent quite some time making this little card. And I really enjoyed it! Hope you like it as well!

When the student is ready!

Good morning everyone!

Still struggling with this stupid cold, but I think there is no better way to fight it than cheering yourself up! Art can help you with that!

Some time ago I came across this proverb on the Internet :”When the student is ready the teacher will appear” (I’m not sure if this is the original translation, so sorry if it isn’t) and it got me thinking. Eventually I interpreted as “one can only help you see things when you are ready to see them”…and I believe that this is very true!

So, I got inspired by it and since I wanted to cheer me up I decided to use my Bird Crazy and Things stamp set…which is always a  good idea!

Here is my little art journal. Simple and easy but pretty enjoyable to make!Enjoy!

I don’t know why but his expression reminded me of the little one who missed his school bus the other day!So that’s the theme! Oops!
