You are amazing!

Hello my crafty friends!

You know that feeling…when your have a super cute image on your desk staring at you?!!!…That’s what just happened to me!!! This adorable Aurora Wings- Hyacinth Sprite has been trying to catch my attention all morning! So I decided to show her some love! And here is what I created with her! Soft and sweet like her! Hope you like it!

Quick Instructions:

This card is extremely simple to make. I first found a pastel patterned paper that I liked and cut it to the size of my card. Then I used a rectangle die to cut a piece of white cardstock. I colored my image using Gansai Tambi watercolors and fussy cut it. Then I adhered it to the rectangle piece and stuck them on top of the patterned paper. Next I stamped my sentiment on some metallic linen cardstock and cut it down to the right size, then I adhered it on the rectangle piece. To finish off my card, I used Lindy’s Magicals to create the illusion of sky and lawn around my image. (I chose Lindy’s cause they have a beautiful shimmer that I believe adds a little something to my simple card.) And my card was done!

Supplies used:

  • Kraft Cardstock paper – white
  • Design Blok- Mix & Match Basic Fine Art patterned paper

  1. A beautiful combination of pastel shades here and what a fabulous image with all that floral headdress. Perfectly coloured too. As this is a clean and simple challenge we do prefer to see lots of complete ‘white / un-patterned / empty’ space on entries but thanks so much for sharing this beauty with us and I hope you’ll join us again soon at Less is More

  2. What a pretty card Kleri! The colouring is gorgeous and I adore the effect of the patterned paper panels. Looooove this! We do have a limit of 5 challenge entries including our own (sorry) but thanks so much for sharing this beauty with us at Less is More 🙂 x

    1. Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to leave me a sweet comment,Esther!I know about the 5 entries but I was told that my card is not accepted in your challenge due to using patterned paper, therefore I decided to enter an extra challenge. 🙂
Nevermind, I’ll join next time with something simpler 🙂 It’s the process and being creative that matters anyway 🙂
Wish you a wonderful day!And hope to see you again soon!

  5. I love the soft colors you used here… it totally nails our “Pastel Colors” challenge!! And that soft glow behind her is awesome!! Is it watercolors?
Thanks so much for playing with us at Aurora Wings Challenge Blog!!

    1. Your comment put a big smile on my face!Thank you!
The background behind her is made with Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magicals. They are powder in small jars which you can use like watercolors (like I did) or make sprays or mix them with mediums like texture paste, gesso, white acrylic paint etc for other techniques. I don’t use them very often but it is a nice versatile product to have if you like sparkle in your projects. They come in many different colors and they are relatively affordable.:)
      Have a wonderful week!
